🌃 Garmin Fenix Heart Rate Not Working
Maybe its losing connection during the exercise, so it's just showing you the less accurate watch HR data, and grabs the chest strap data at the end of the exercise to link together when you view the workout in the app. It says the chest strap is connected. During exercise it just shows some random low heart rate.
Press and hold the "Light" button for at least 25 seconds. The watch will probably switch off before the 25 seconds. I keep holding the button. Then press and hold…. Same problem for me. Garmin F5 sapphire. I often have days of missing HR data. Other things sync in GC but hr is first to get dropped. I often have red exclamation next to watch

On my hikes in Malawi in 30-35°C my heart rate was shown correctly without a hitch. If I warm up before going out on a hike during winter at home I usually have no problems. However, if it's chilly and I don't warm up, my heart rate will be reported suspiciously close to my cadence the first 15-30 minutes (and sometimes through the entire walk).
I have read all of the threads for when the green light and/or heart rate from the watch is not functioning trying everything suggested: Restart the watch. Clean the back. Tighten the strap. Make sure software is up-to-date. I have done all of these!!
I have the Fenix 7 sapphire solar and noticed lately that sometimes the heartrate drops during running. Around Minute 25 it went down to 138 and I certainly had not 138 at that point. (Happened again at minute 53. Minute 35 might be, I'm not 100% sure there.) I've been running some time with this watch now and I think I know what heart rate it
My Garmin Fenix 7x changes the heart rate zones by itself. I have always used BPM but the watch changes to %MSTP or other. I have turned off the automatic registration (heart rate/FTP) and uses the newest sotfware 9.37. Anyone? A dedicated community for Garmin users to ask questions, provide answers, and share feedback.

Hold UP. Select Settings > Sensors > Wrist Heart Rate > Broadcast HR. Select In App to broadcast heart rate during timed activities ( Starting an Activity) . When riding, use ONLY Edge which is connected to all your bike stuff and hrm. All stats are synced with Garmin Connect and they show up in your watch..things like vo2max, training load etc. When running or anything not bike, use your watch. I'm also using a Fenix 7 and edge 1030.
During a 70 minute hike yesterday there was almost no time when my 6X WHR matched the values from my wetted TickR strap. I could not check the TickR values whilst hiking, but I know the 6X was not raising heart rate for the uphill sections or lowering it as pace/ascent reduced.
SO download the zip and do thisDownload and unzip Fenix6sPro_***Beta.zip. Place the gupdate.gcd file, found in the System_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN folder of the device. If there is a Sensor Hub_v*** folder, place the gupXXXX.gcd file into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device.
Follow the instructions from the support document Data is Missing from My Garmin Account After Syncing to resolve the issue. The storage (or a FIT file storing the Activity details or HR data and the steps data) is dammaged or full. Try backing up and deleting old files from the folder //GARMIN/Activity and //GARMIN/Monitor.
The Fenix 5 broadcast HR in ANT+ and Zwift on the iPhone is Bluetooth only so you will not get the HR there using the Fenix. Also, you cannot use the Fenix to bridge ANY signal to Zwift. My guess is that since it is an older Garmin cadence sensor that it is ANT+ only. I would suggest getting a Wahoo Blue S/C since it is ANT+ and Bluetooth.
Click on Devices > Settings > User Profile. Now choose Heart Rate & Power Zones > Heart rate. On this screen you can adjust your Maximum Heart Rate by going into the tab with that name, or by
